The Darling Street Apartments, Rozelle, are between
the vibrant, bohemian Balmain and the Italian area of
Leichhardt. On the Lilyfield side of Victoria Road,
they are ideally situated for public transport.
The apartments are on the groundfloor and are on one
level, making access easy. They open onto a quiet and
private courtyard with a large jacaranda tree. The

Transport From the airport by taxi is
the most convenient. Tell the taxi driver to go over
the Anzac Bridge and turn LEFT onto Darling Street.
It is on the left, on the corner of Denison and
Darling Street, 200 metres down from the Victoria
Road traffic lights. It is cheaper, but slower, if
you tell him to avoid the tolls. Cost approx $40, and 40
minutes. Toll roads will add $10 and be 10 minutes
by public transport http://www.transportnsw.info/tickets Train to Town Hall, $15 per person,
then bus from Town Hall towards Ryde, $4.60 per
person. Buy your tickets before you travel. About
1.5 hours. There will be a couple of Opal cards in
the apartment for you to use. Just top them up at
the newsagents before you leave. Opal cards are valid for bus,
ferry, train and light rail. Buy them, or top them
up, at ticket booths and newsagents.
From the city
private car Head West over the Anzac Bridge towards Ryde.
Once over the bridge, keep right through the
interchange and continue up Victoria Road to Darling
Street at the top of the next hill. Turn left
towards Lilyfield. 200 metres down past the shops
and phone booth turn left into Denison Street. The
apartments are in the corner building with a
restaurant in the front.
bus Any of the 500 buses from Town Hall to Ryde.
Get off at Darling Street. Whilst you can take the
train from the airport to Town Hall, and then bus,
for two people there is no saving on a more direct
From the apartment bus
From outside the door buses run through Leichhardt
to either the City or Petersham. 200 metres away is
the arterial bus route to the city in one direction
(only 3 stops), and to Ryde and the Sydney Olympic
Park in the other direction. Buy tickets before
boarding at the newsagent.
ferry At the
other end of Darling Street from the apartments is
Darling Street Wharf where regular ferries stop.
Buses connect with the ferry.
The light rail that runs from Lilyfield Road,
Leichhardt, past the Sydney Fish Markets, Star
Casino, Darling Harbour, the Powerhouse Museum and
China Town to Central Railway Station is 15 minutes
walk away. In the other direction it runs to
Leichhardt and Dulwich Hill.
